The sad man's prayer

i think this piece suits our fast paced materialist life...

Having fed up with life,
and after leaving his wife.
between monks, on a mat,
the sad man,quietly sat.
he thought and meditated,
and unto God, he prayed,
"O Noble one! Great,Holy and Wise,
Towards you ,let my heart rise.
give my soul,the eternal prize,
even after my body's demise.
My Lord !
Of all the experiences felt,
and all the people dealt,
each one,slowly but melt.
Only one joy remains,forever,
happiness that i felt ,
before you,
when i knelt.
O Exalted one !
pleasures are not what i seek,
in spirituality , iam weak,
tranquility, i greatly seek,
till the zenith of mind's peak.
O Omnipresent Guide !
show me the true delight,
out of ignorance,into the light,
transit, from black to white,
end this mortal plight,
today, tonight... "
saying this,
he breathed his last ,
and fell down.
