i think this piece suits our fast paced materialist life...
Having fed up with life,
and after leaving his wife.
between monks, on a mat,
the sad man,quietly sat.
he thought and meditated,
and unto God, he prayed,
"O Noble one! Great,Holy and Wise,
Towards you ,let my heart rise.
give my soul,the eternal prize,
even after my body's demise.
My Lord !
Of all the experiences felt,
and all the people dealt,
each one,slowly but melt.
Only one joy remains,forever,
happiness that i felt ,
before you,
when i knelt.
O Exalted one !
pleasures are not what i seek,
in spirituality , iam weak,
tranquility, i greatly seek,
till the zenith of mind's peak.
O Omnipresent Guide !
show me the true delight,
out of ignorance,into the light,
transit, from black to white,
end this mortal plight,
today, tonight... "
saying this,
he breathed his last ,
and fell down.

ReplyDeleteThis piece corresponds to a student who is pleased with his robust and ravishing life and is on the hunt for his girl.(just a parody to the one written by you furquan)
ReplyDeleteExcited and exhilarated with life,
embarks on in search of his wife.
Alongside damsels in a class,
the debonair sat prowling for a luscious lass.
He scouted and examined faces with ambition,
and unto God he prayed in supplication.
Oh,The Almighty! Oh,The Omnipotent!
Holy,hallowed and divine,
bestow upon me my coveted belle.
show me the appropriate girl,
who propitiates my sybaritic soul.
hey very nice one....

ReplyDeleteDon't take that parody crap seriously...
If you want guidance regarding "material matters",then it would be an insult to our SA Siddhartha if you approach me instead of him........
